This walk combines the historical, artistic and landscape peculiarities of the old center of Matera with the special and, why not, romantic atmosphere, which only twilight can add to the intrinsic beauty of the city. Many people ask me whether Matera is more beautiful to visit during the day or by night. Well, it’s not easy to answer, since every light and weather condition offers different colors and shades, all enjoyable, fog included! And so I reply that Matera is always beautiful, depending on your taste, just as a brunette, or redhead, or blonde lady can be!
We will walk along the Piano, the Civita and the Sasso Caveoso areas. Starting from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, we will pass by Piazza del Sedile and the Cathedral. We will go down Via Muro, up to Piazza San Pietro Caveoso, to go on throw Via Buozzi up to Piazza Pascoli. We will walk along Via Ridola and Via del Corso until we reach Piazza Vittorio Veneto again.
